What used to cascade here was water.

Having brought paintings all around Wimisink it was time for a waterfall installation. Less than a year ago the dam which used to house the mill waterwheel broke and the channel of the water changed profoundly.

As an acknowledgment of the power of water, a power that resides within us all Blanton has installed her largest painting to date, a painting 40 feet end to end. Fallwater asks us to consider what we morn. How we celebrate? What is worthy of rememberence. Is the painting a bandage, a billboard, or refuse.
